The boat was purchase with a grant from the president of our university, and now his name graces the bow. Ten 1984 Concept II macon blades were also purchased along with the boat. Leonard Case Jr.

1984 Schoenbrod heavyweight 4+ - fiberglass and wood, stern coxed The "Lenny" was sitting on a rack in the Western Reserve Rowing Association's boathouse for a number of years in a state of disrepair. We purchased the boat in January of 1995 with a committment to fix it. Craig Agricola, Amy Kozlowski, Ram Fish and Doug Rathburn spent the entire spring rebuilding it. The money to purchase and repair the shell came from the Case Alumni Association. The founder of the Case Institute of Technology's name was respectfully placed on the bow. Five 1988 Concept II macon blades were purchased to go with the shell.

The trailer that was carrying the Lenny was rear-ended while pulling out of the parking lot of the 1995 Head of the Ohio. The shell was sent to Biddeford, Maine under the care of Charlie Dibble to be repaired.

The Lenny was returned to us 1-21-96 from Maine by Doug Teamin.
